It is a tradition at the end of every school year for students to sign yearbooks. Now, it’s not like kids wrote the most meaningful posts BUT it’s still a rite of passage for our students!
As with so many other things over the past year, this tradition may have to be slightly altered. To still keep the fun tradition alive, I’ve created a paperless alternative for memories!

Getting Started with Jamboard
It’s simple to get started! Simply open the Jamboard. If you are doing a page for each student, you’ll want to write each child’s name on the card.
Jamboard only allows you to have 20 cards per “Jam” So, if you have more than twenty students, you’ll want to set up two Jams and share each of those links with your students.

Sharing the Jamboard
It’s really important that when you share the Jamboard with your students, you’ll need to change the share settings to “Editor” instead of the default “Viewer” {Trust me…I’ve made this error and you’ll get a whole bunch of emails from your kiddos!}
Giving your students Editor Access will allow your students the ability to write on the Jamboard!

Adding Notes on the Jamboard
My favorite thing to show students is to use the sticky note option. They just click on the tool on the left-hand menu and start typing! If they wish, they can change the color and even add emojis {from their keyboards}
The character limit on Jamboard is just enough for your students to write a meaningful note…without going on too long 🙂

It’s easy for students to move the notes around and adjust the size.

As more students start to add in their notes, the Jamboard will be filled with great memories and compliments.

Each Jamboard pack has the option to make a version for students and one for the class so you can pick what works best for you!
When everyone has written on the Jamboard, you can change the share settings back to viewer {so kids do not edit what’s on the Jam}
You can also click on the three dots at the top and select “Download as PDF” so you can email or print for your kiddos!
