All teachers can agree that Halloween is CRAZY! Rather than fight the sugar highs, I embraced the crazy! We channeled all of that excitement into fun Halloween art projects!

While the whole “knock on a stranger’s door and get some candy” is a little strange when you think about it, I do enjoy the fabulous art related to the holiday!
Our 3rd-grade buddies helped us create these spooky silhouettes {Shoutout to KR for an awesome idea!}. First, the kids drew a scene in pencil, traced over in sharpie and finished off with some hole punched eyes. I {puffy} heart looking at these!

We snuck in some learning AND art with Deirdre’s Facebook Fan freebie! The kids loved making these Doubles Spiders.
How amazing are this little lady’s spiders?!?!
We also snuck in time to make one of my ABSOLUTE favorite art projects! I think these spooky skeletons are perfect for Halloween & Dia de los Muertos! To make, the kids sketch out a skull on white paper, tear out the skull and a “face” and glue on crepe paper streamers!

Thanks for the shout out Molly! Looks like you guys are having tons of fun with Halloween crafting. Everything looks awesome. I love how you let them decorate the spiders….I'll be a little less of a control freak next time around…

Those silhouettes are AMAZING! Totally pinning this!
Those skeletons are super cool. Usually I don't like skeletons, but the streamers make them really fun.
