Ahhhhhh summer – warm weather, no alarm clock and TONS of reading time!
Like most teachers, I tend to read way less during the school year than in the summer {when I can devour a book in a day!}I thought it would be fun to kick of the start of my summer vacation {kinda – I teach summer school beginning Monday!} by sharing some books I plan to read, along with some books I think YOU should read!
First up, here is a fraction of my “Must Reads” this summer! I like to read a bunch of light books – nothing too heavy as I’m dipping my toes in the lake or lounging in bed! I have a Kindle and think it’s the best money I’ve ever spent. I can throw it in my purse and pull it out whenever I have a quick minute. {I have the Kindle with “special offers” and I never notice the ads! Save $20 and get this version!}
- 14 Deadly Sins – James Patterson
- The Rumor – Elin Hilderbrand
- Private Vegas – James Patterson
- The Summer’s End – Mary Alice Monroe
- The Guest Cottage – Nancy Thayer
- Luckiest Girl Alive – Jessica Knoll
- Big Little Lies – Liane Moriarty
This is just a partial list of what I hope to read! Now, this next list of books is what I’ve recently read and want to spread the good word about!
- Me Before You – Jojo Moyes {heavy, but SO good!}
- Nantucket Sisters – Nancy Thayer {Nantucket – enough said!}
- Wonder – R.J. Palacio {great series to share with your students!}
- Rosie Dunne – Cecelia Ahern {absolutely hilarious!}

So excited to add more books to my list of reads! Now if only someone would take my children for a week so I could read uninterrupted…..hmmm. 😉 Thanks for the great linky, Molly!

Always Kindergarten
I have some of the same books on my summer reading list too!
Great link up!
I love this post! I love to read and the only time I have time to do so is in the summer. Like so many, my time is so limited that I hate investing time in a book that's a dud so having suggestions like you have here for a linky is awesomeness! I can't wait to see what others post and I'm looking forward to getting a post together too!
I love Elin Hildebrand in the summer (well, really all the time…) I haven't read The Rumor, yet, either! I agree about Wonder – one of the best books I've read in quite a while!
This is an awesome linky!! I just requested Nantucket Sisters and Rosie Dunne from my library! I can't wait to see everyone's suggestions!!
