How to Use Google Keep Headers in Your Classroom

Now that you know the benefits of Google Keep, let’s walk through how you can use the free headers I’ve created to streamline your planning and stay organized throughout the year.

Organize Weekly Plans

Each week can bring its own set of unique challenges, and having a dedicated space to plan out your lessons, activities, and classroom events can save you time and energy.

A hand holds a smartphone displaying a weekly to-do list with Google Keep Headers, near a white pot with a plant, colorful storage boxes, and an apple-themed classroom decoration on the wall.

With the weekly Google Keep header, you can:

  • Create Daily To-Do Lists: Write down the specific tasks for each day of the week.
  • Track Lesson Objectives: Include your key objectives for each day, so you know exactly what you need to cover in your lessons.
  • Manage Classroom Activities: List any special activities, field trips, or other events that you’ll be organizing throughout the week.

Simply open Google Keep, create a new note, and apply the weekly header to help keep your plans for the week all in one place.

Track Monthly Plans

While weekly plans are great for short-term tasks, a monthly overview helps you stay on top of long-term goals and important deadlines. The monthly Google Keep header is perfect for:

  • Tracking Important Dates: Write down important school events, like parent-teacher conferences, holidays, and unit assessments.
  • Setting Milestones: Organize your lesson themes and objectives for the month to keep your teaching focused and intentional.
  • Monthly Goals: Set clear goals for yourself and your students, whether it’s finishing a unit or improving reading comprehension skills.

Using the monthly header lets you have a big-picture view while also keeping track of important tasks as the month unfolds.

Manage To-Do Lists

Keeping track of all the tasks you need to complete can quickly get overwhelming. With the to-do list header, you can prioritize your tasks, stay focused and track your progress!

Google Keep’s simple checkboxes and color-coding features make it easy to prioritize tasks and track your progress.
