Classroom Disco Ball

Okay, hear me out! You don’t need a disco ball in your classroom, but it’s the perfect way to bring fun to your day—especially when it’s time for brain breaks or celebrating student achievements.

Hexagonal-patterned LED light with remote control, perfect for enhancing classroom tools, featuring various buttons for lighting and music modes.

A quick spin under the lights during indoor recess will make your class feel like the coolest party in town. Plus, it’s a great way to reward your students with a little lighthearted fun.

Thermal Printer for Stickers & Labels

I know you’re thinking, “Do I really need another gadget?” But imagine printing out cute labels, instant stickers, or even mini tags without leaving your desk! A thermal printer can be a fun way to personalize your classroom, create custom rewards, or even whip up quick classroom organization labels on the fly. Your students will love receiving personalized stickers for good work, and you’ll love the ease of use!

If you can believe it, I have a few different thermal printers I love! That is how strong my love for my thermal printer is 🤣

Thermal Printer

If you’re looking to create classroom labels, reminders, or just fun stickers {either on a phone app or on your computer} your best bet is to buy this sweet little gal. She’s a workhorse! You can make all sorts of labels – honestly, if you can dream it, you can make it.

I made these fun stickers to add to my students’ back-to-school letters on the printer’s app in just a few minutes.

A Hand-Held Thermal Printer

Want a fun printer that is a bit more portable? This hand-held thermal printer will motivate you to get all the things in your classroom labeled.

A mint green portable camera, perfect for capturing classroom adventures, lies next to an open white zippered case with mesh pockets on a wooden surface.

Did I have a lot of fun labeling these hanging folders? You bet I did!

Hanging file folders labeled with months from February to November, each decorated with seasonal icons, make perfect classroom tools for organizing lesson plans and activities.

And the best part? This printer is less than $20 {and comes in super fun colors!} This would make a super fun gift for a student teacher or your school secretary!

Of course, I had to buy the fun label maker case to hold it, too! I mean, I can’t label everything in my classroom and then not have a spot for this cutie, right?

A Different Hand-Held Thermal Printer

I warned you I have a love affair with these printers! And I absolutely love this cute one! It’s a little heartier than the one above {but is still under $20!}

A hand holds a Polono label maker, one of the essential classroom tools, printing a label with the text "Miss Lynch" against a vibrant, colorful rug background.

It has a very easy-to-use app and there are tons of labels you can make. Luke has even gotten into the label making with this cute little printer. Of course, he found the scariest icon and started labeling everything in sight!

A name tag featuring "Luke" in bold, black text and a simple cartoon image of a person with wings, ideal for personalizing classroom tools.

Lucky Stamps

I would argue that Lucky Stamps are something you definitely need! No one likes grading spelling tests or math assessments, but Lucky Stamps are sure to make it a bit more fun.

I seriously lay in bed at night and think up all sorts of puns that will bring a smile to your face {and your students, of course!}

Doorbell

Maybe it’s because I’ve been teaching a hundred years {okay, just over two decades!} but I hate the sound of a classroom bell! Years ago I started using a doorbell and it’s been a game-changer.

A pink roller skate-shaped planter with a green succulent adds a whimsical touch to the windowsill, above an orange surface cluttered with colorful classroom tools.

I recently purchased this doorbell with two “speakers” so there is no excuse for not hearing it from my students 😉

Binding Machine

I splurged last year on a binding machine for my classroom {which is surprisingly not as expensive as I thought it would be!}. Of course, we have that old-school comb binder in our staff room but this binding machine is SO MUCH more fun and holds up way better!

Stacks of spiral-bound "My Math Meeting Journal" books, perfect classroom tools, feature a yellow cover with a cartoon person pondering math.

So far I’ve used the binding machine to create my students’ Math Meeting books for the year, as well as bound some Class Books.

A yellow spiral-bound booklet titled "Let Me Introduce Myself" by Room 6/7, an essential piece among the classroom tools for the 2024-2025 school year, lies on a gray surface.

If you don’t want to commit to this huge binding machine, there’s always the Happy Planner! My sister and I created her plan book this year using and it’s awesome!

Classroom tools meet creativity in this lesson planner, featuring a colorful heart design atop a 2024 calendar page for October.

What I love about the Happy Planner system is that you can add and remove pages whenever you want.

A colorful planner page with a spiral binding showcases essential classroom tools for the week. It includes tasks, quizzes, gym class, and lunch breaks, all adorned with cartoon icons and handwritten notes.

Oh, and don’t forget the very best pens for planning! These colorful, erasable pens are perfect for your planner.

These fun tools might not be on your required classroom supply list, but they can add a little extra joy and excitement to your daily routine and help you enjoy your time in your classroom just a tiny bit more.
