The love affair I have with my thermal printer has no bounds. I’ve already shared how you can print student name and subject labels and classroom reminders using this magical thermal printer!

In this post, I’m sharing how you can use your thermal printer for some other fun uses at home and around your classroom.

Getting Started with a Thermal Printer

But there are so many uses beyond labeling things and reminders! Basically, if you can think of something that needs to be printed in black and white…you can do it on a thermal printer.

And just because the ink is black, doesn’t mean the labels need to be just plain white labels. If you search Amazon for thermal printer labels, you’ll be amazed at all the options – from colorful square labels to sparkly circle stickers {and SO much more!}

Thermal printers are versatile tools that can revolutionize organization and communication in your classroom.

Let’s explore some creative ways to use these handy devices, from basic labeling to enhancing special events and field trips.

Name & Subject Labels

Field Trip Essentials

Make everyone’s life a little more organized for field trips.

Student Tags Print customized name tags for students during field trips or school events. You can include emergency contact info or even specific instructions.

Group Labels: If you’re dividing students into groups, you can print group labels for easier organization during field trips. Printing on a bright label makes it easy for group leaders to spot kids!

I created a set for school to send my students back to school mail and created a set for home for Luke to mail goodies to his grandparents on the other side of the country.
